01 / How to find your phone
Set it once. Make some noise when you need it.

Choose claps, a whistle, or both.
Two claps are a good place to start. You can change the number of claps and test both sounds before putting the phone down.

Tap Start listening.
Android keeps a notification on screen while the microphone is in use, and you can stop listening from there at any time.

Clap twice or hold one steady whistle.
Your phone can ring, vibrate, and flash. Follow the alert, then stop it from the phone or its notification.
02 / Make it work in your room
Every room sounds different.
A quiet bedroom is not a busy kitchen. Start with the Normal room setting, try a few claps or whistles, then adjust only if the phone misses you or goes off by mistake.
- Claps are missed?
- Move the phone out of a thick bag or drawer, then raise sensitivity one step.
- TV or music sets it off?
- Use two or three claps, lower sensitivity, or add a longer pause between alerts.
- Hands full?
- Choose whistle mode and hold one clear, steady note.
This is for a phone that is close enough to hear you. It is not GPS tracking, and closed doors, bags, and room noise can shorten the range.
03 / Your microphone
It listens for a sound. It does not keep the sound.
While listening is on, ClapWhistle checks small pieces of sound for a sharp clap or one steady whistle. Each piece is thrown away as soon as it has been checked.
