A quick fix might be all you need
- Claps or whistles are missed: check the microphone meter, signal choice and alert.
- Listening stops in the background: check interruptions and test with the screen locked.
- Samsung or another phone puts the app to sleep: review the battery setting for ClapWhistle.
- The alert is too quiet: check sound, volume, Do Not Disturb and Bluetooth, then try the alert again.

Questions, problems and ideas for the app are all welcome.
A few details help us help you
- Your phone model, such as Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.
- Your Android version and the ClapWhistle version installed.
- Whether you are using claps, a whistle, or both.
- Whether the microphone meter moves in Signal check.
- Whether the signal is recognised but the alert cannot be heard.
- Whether it fails while the app is open, with the screen locked, or both.
You do not need to send a recording of your room, passwords or other private information. If you choose to send a screenshot, check it for personal details first.
For questions about microphone access, advertising or stored settings, our privacy policy explains how the app handles those.
